Grand Parade at Valley Forge
$13.00 – $35.00
Many lives were lost here at Valley Forge. Not because of battle, but sickness and inadequate supplies to keep the men warm and full of food. It’s a humbling reminder of the fragility of life. Yet, this land is also beautiful in all seasons. It’s a reminder to celebrate life and those who sacrificed their own lives for freedom. This field is known as the Grand Parade. The Maurice Stephens House is featured in the background. It was built in 1816, though the Stephens family did own the land while the troops stayed here in the winter of 1777.
