Though it may be hidden in some areas, it is very apparent in others such as Valley Forge all the way down to the boathouses of Philadelphia. It has thick foliage around its banks and a few islands in the middle. It has an accompanying river trail that extends 140 miles from Schuylkill County to Philadelphia. Hop on the trail at any point for a scenic walk.
