January Birth Flower (Carnation & Snowdrop)

Carnations and snowdrops are both January’s flowers. Carnations were significant flowers to ancient Greeks and Romans. They named the flowers dianthus caryophyllus which means flower of the Gods. Snowdrops are one of the first flowers to appear in the new year which is why they are symbolic of new birth, purity, and spring. They also contain galantamine which is used for Alzhemier’s patients.
