If you have time while visiting Philadelphia, Jim Thorpe is well worth the day trip outside the city. It’s a small town named after the first Native American Olympic gold medalist. Jim Thorpe is nestled in mountainous hills, and the town architecture gives off European vibes. While there, you can go for a train ride or enjoy their various outdoor activities such as biking or river rafting. I enjoy walking around the colorful streets and visiting the shops and cafes. I highly recommend visiting in the autumn.
