October Birth Flowers (Marigold & Cosmo)

Marigolds are used to celebrate the dead in ancient and modern Mexico for the Día de Los Muertos holiday. If you go there at the end of October, you will see their beautiful colors decorating cemeteries. October’s other flower is the cosmo. They also come from Mexico and Central America, although they are named after the Greek word for harmony or balance in the universe.
