Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are studying the Doctrine and Covenants this year. It is a compilation of sacred revelations given to modern prophets. It teaches us about the interactions God had with His children right after the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the Earth. Visit this website to learn more! I completed this painting a few years ago when I was studying the life of Joseph Smith Jr. and other early Saints. It’s a mini timeline of the First Vision, Joseph and Emma’s marriage, the translation of the Book of Mormon through the seer stones, the Saints moving west after persecution and building the Salt Lake City temple as the mark of a new era.
